The majority of objects which surround us—including medicines, plastics, food and fuels—are composed of organic molecules. Of the 118 elements of the periodic table, organic molecules are chiefly made up of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen and nitrogen. The Boyer Research Group is driven to create original methods of stitching these atoms together to make important, new and interesting organic molecules, bioactive compounds and modern materials.
