DMDO Concentration Calculator

  1. Dissolve a known amount of thioanisole in CH2Cl2
    Amount of thioanisole: mg
  2. Cool to 0 °C
  3. Add a known amount of DMDO solution slowly
    Amount of DMDO: mL
  4. Stir the mixture for 10 minutes and allow to reach ambient temperature
  5. Concentrate the mixture in vacuo
  6. Take a 1H NMR of the mixture using CDCl3
    Find the relative integration of the following peaks:
    δ = 2.4 ppm
    δ = 2.7 ppm
    δ = 3.1 ppm
